What Does Delayed Period Along With Spotting And Headache Indicate? 

I am 2 days from my expected period and have been having spotting accompanied with minor cramping, headaches, and excessive burping. I have never had excessive burping or feeling so bad before my cycle starts as I have this month. I had unprotected sex during the week of my fertile period but I have never experienced these symptoms with my other 2 pregnancies. What could be causing it?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Delayed period with spotting could be caused due to implantation bleed, as your history suggest you had unprotected intercourse during your fertile period. In case you have conceived, you might experience symptoms of cramping, headache and burping due to hormonal changes taking place after implantation.
Since the delay is just two days form your expected period, kindly wait for another week and in case you don't get your periods, test your urine for pregnancy by performing urine home pregnancy test (HPT). The result should tell you about the status.
